St. Louis Butterfly House

My wonderful hubby made it possible for me to get away with my dear friend Kelly for a few days last week. We stayed outside of St. Louis, MO, and we did a lot of shopping, laughing, talking, and eating! We made a stop at the Concordia Historical Institute, and Concordia Seminary's Library and Book store. We spent a full day shopping in a town we don't even know the name of...we just relied on my GPS (we lovingly refer to her as Emily) to get us to a Hobby Lobby and we took it from there! We had lunch at Meriwether's Restaurant, located in the Missouri History Museum, with our friend Kathy. We went to Union Station and shopped for a while, to get out of the freezing cold, blustery, sleeting yucky weather. And we had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in St. Louis--Rigazzi's. Of course, it wasn't the same without our hubbies along ordering their famous "goldfish bowls of beer". We enjoyed the hot tub at our hotel (the night it WASN'T freezing cold outside). We also visitied the Butterfly House outside of St. Louis. It was 85* in that rainforest with beautiful butterflies flying all around us. It was around 70* outside at that time. Later that evening, coming home from supper, it was snowing/sleeting/blowing and below 0! What an extreme! Here are a few of the (hundreds?) of pictures I took in there...AFTER my camera got accustomed to the humidity!
