I found time to scrap my favorite picture of the day! It felt good to get a page done!
The kit I used was a freebie from Pineapple Plantation Designs, called “Autumn Whisper”
Faith, family, food and fun are priorities in my life. I hope to share my faith, family activities, day to day recipes and the fun of my life (and sometimes, the not so fun aspects, too!)

It's been almost a MONTH again since I've spent any time updating this blog! Wow..time flies. It has (obviously!) been a BUSY month, with all the end of the year "stuff", track meets, AND graduation stuff we had going on. It may take me a few days, but I'll get you ALL caught up on what has been going on in our neck of the woods!
First, I got (with the GREAT help of a couple of online friends!!) a majority of Caleb's scrapbook done. Here are a couple of my favorite pages. The kit I used for this was from Aprilmouse
one of my very favorite pictures of those two boys EVER! Template by Lisa Minor.
And this is one of my favorite photos of "my boys". This template was created for DIP by Lisa Minor, but was designed by my online friend Terri.
another template by Lisa Minor.
awww...how CUTE! (I'm sorry...I can't find any terms of use for this quickpage. I'll update this blog if anyone can point me to the TOU's!)
That grin just cracks me UP!
Carla (Meus Scraps)--Cherry Halloween kit
another quick page, (again...I can't find the TOU's)...this photo..isn't it a HOOT?
see how he grew???
Well, I'm plugging away (and doing so under quite a time crunch!) on Caleb's scrapbook. I am ready to scrap his 2nd birthday! (His 2nd year went MUCH faster than the first...I was much more selective in what pics I scanned, LOL)
I'm not going to share all the pages I've done here, but last night I scrapped one of my favorites so far. It just makes me laugh out LOUD when I see it (or else makes me want to cry!)
hee, hee...see what I mean? Doesn't it make you just LAUGH?

OK...I've got several dozen more, but that gives a glimpse of what I've been doing lately. Only 15 1/2 more years to go, and only 4 weeks to get it done!
Isn't she a beautiful gal? She wasn't pleased with her school pictures this year, and asked me to take them. But she REALLY wanted leaves in the pictures. So we had to wait a bit, til some leaves fell in our front yard! Finally last Sunday, we were ready to go...
I used all kinds of stuff...Lisa's template and the red and gray papers
and yellow/red elements are from her A Simple Fall kit.
frame and leaves and buckle/ribbon are Pineapple Plantations' Autumn
Whisper kit...
I think that's all...I'm SOOO bad at remembering what I used for giving credit...
YAY! It was an in-service day, and since I'm hourly...I didn't have to go in. What a WONDERFUL way to spend a Monday! Woo Hoo. I slept in...went for a walk, and got some scrapbook pages made! Then we went out to supper (Chinese Buffet...YUM!) and did some grocery shopping and KMart shopping.
I can't wait to have another day off!
Here are some of the pages I did.
(These photos are (c) Kohl's Photography. Didn't Lorry do a GREAT job??? How will we ever decide which we want to purchase??)
I used a kit called Cranberry Breeze by my friend Lisa. Check out her blog for her awesome templates and kits!
Here's one of Caleb and Cameron at last week's Upper Iowa Conference Cross Country meet. The papers are stuff I made, but the template is from Lisa.
And...Are you tired of Harvey stuff yet? Here are 2 pages I made from photos from the play. I'll do a few more if I can get some more pictures. I would really like to do a total cast page. I know someone took a picture...now...to get a copy of it :)
I created the background paper...I worked and worked to get that paper to match the set design...I think I did a pretty darned good job! The template was converted to DIP by
Lisa and was originally one of Hummie's templates. I adapted it just a bit to make it work with my own pictures and ideas :)
I've finally had a bit of time to do some scrapping again! It seems like it's been forever since I've had time. Of course there are LOTS of other things I COULD be doing, but hey...a girl has to have some time for fun, too, right?
this one was all created by me...no templates or kits or anything!
This was created from a template by Racketty Scrapety (#54) which was converted to DIP by Lisa. The kit is called "Under Water" by Symphony.
And this was created using parts of a kit from Aprilmouse called "Boys"
Ron went to sleep by 8:30 or so last night, so I finally just had a chance to sit down and scrap a page. It's been a long while! I scrapped the pictures of the kids swimming at Erik and Kelly's cabin last weekend.
Woo Hoo...are you scappers in for a TREAT this week! Lisa Minor is kicking off a great freebie kit tomorrow! Check the previews in a recent post of mine. Tomorrow she will start the party with some quick pages in a variety of sizes. Here's a sneak preview of my pages. Be sure to snag them!
I finally got around to getting the photos from Rachel's birthday party scrapped! This birthday party was SO much fun! And making the pages was, too!
I used an "advanced release" of Lisa Minor's Miss Ladybugs Garden. Be sure to check her blog next week so you can get this AWESOME kit, too! She'll be giving it away in bits and pieces, beginning next week! Here's a "sneak peak" of this great kit...
Isn't it gorgeous???
I've also made a couple of quick pages that Lisa will be giving away. Be sure to check for those next week, too!
Anyway...here are the 3 layouts I did with this kit tonight.
Notice I didn't put HIS age in the title like I did with Rachel's :-)
Two years ago, Ron celebrated his June 4th birthday by preaching at a Lutheran church in Madagascar while he was traveling for Good News. His birthday gift that year was getting his luggage in time for Sunday services! (Only 5 days after he checked it in at the airport!)
I *think* (if the date stamp on this photo is correct) he flew over Mt. Kilimanjaro that day!
Last year, we celebrated like THIS....
THIS year, we celebrated at Vacation Bible School!
Happy Birthday!!
We had a great day yesterday. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Sunny and nice and warm. The Memorial Day service at Rose Hill Cemetery was enhanced by the S-F MS band. Rachel, of course, played splendidly :-)
The kit used for this was Liberty Everlasting, by Janniscrap designs
I spent the afternoon preparing for dinner. Ron was a great help in peeling and chopping the potatoes for potato salad. I boiled up 2 chickens for a little while, and then finished them off on the grill...smothered in BBQ sauce. MMMMMM.... The evening was so nice that we ate out on the deck. It was just lovely. Some of us REALLY got into the whole "eating BBQ with your fingers" thing....
The kit used for these pages was "A Country Picnic" by Janniscrap Designs.
