We met some fun Oregonians at our Luau on Wednesday night. The food was terrific, and we enjoyed the show. And the sunset was pretty, too!

We had a beautiful day for snorkeling at Molokini Crater and....oh...Caleb's sleeping and I can't remember the name of the second stop where we snorkled with the sea turtles. It was perfect weather and lots of fun. I tend to not fare well while snorkeling...I get claustrophobic and panic a bit, but I managed to do ok. The tour included a light breakfast, the 2 snorkel stops and a deli lunch...plus beverages! :-)

there were bunches of them. Every 15 minutes they have to come to the surface to get air. That was cool to see. They were all OVER in the water. And CLOSE to me. (I didn't handle that part so well)

On our way home from Iao Park, we stopped at a few more scenic pull offs along the highway.
The boys had a blast chasing the waves.
sigh....I am just SO happy!

another day of sand and sun...
waves were bigger, so the boys had to work harder to get where they wanted to go...
we took a scenic drive and stopped at an overlook. From Nov. to May whales "harbor" here.
we went to Iao National Park and walked around for a while.

and it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The ocean and sunshine and sandy beaches are, in my opinion, THE very best part of God's creation. I am always happiest at the ocean...when it's hot and sunny...and preferably with a drink in my hand :)

On Monday it drizzled rain off and on almost all day long. The sun did come out for a few hours in the afternoon, and we all enjoyed it greatly.

I had island vegetables and jasmine rice and added chicken to it. DELICIOUS! Lots of cilantro in with the Maui onions, sweet peppers, broccoli and carrots!
